Designed in collaboration with the Royal Air Force, the watch features a Carbon Core Guard structure to perfectly adapt to the extremely high demands made on pilots. Combined with the world-renowned shock resistance of G-SHOCK, this has resulted in a watch that is also highly resistant to vibration.
The bezel is made up of three layers of resin with carbon fibre inserts, the upper layer being partially transparent and revealing the carbon material inside.
The new GR-B200RAF-8AER features design elements and details inspired by aviation. For example, the three knobs on the right side of the watch are arranged to resemble a helicopter control stick, while at the same time allowing an easy operation. In addition, the watch's color scheme is inspired by the Eurofighter Typhoon, whose design was deliberately developed to be difficult to recognize in the sky.
